Ecolab SKINSEPT™ Mucosa 500 ml – disinfectant for mucous membranes and sensitive areas

When you deal with cleanliness and hygiene every day, you will appreciate a product that is also suitable for sensitive areas. It is used primarily by piercers – especially before preparing the piercing site in the mouth and in intimate areas, where gentle and careful preparation is required. Skinsept™ Mucosa is a colourless antiseptic solution intended for the mouth, throat, and mucosa – a practical choice wherever you want to have a more versatile solution at hand. It is suitable for daily use, protects against a broad spectrum of bacteria and viruses, and stands out for its rapid onset and easy application.

When it’s useful and how to use it

Skinsept Mucosa is used before surgical and diagnostic procedures, as well as for oral area issues (e.g., inflammation related to dental dentures or fungal diseases). For oral piercing, it serves as an antiseptic treatment of the mucosa before jewellery insertion and as part of aftercare. For rinsing and gargling, 10–15 ml is usually applied for 1 minute, 1–2x daily. Can also be applied using a swab or a disposable wipe.

Important notice

- do not apply to the eyes, the external auditory canal, or the nasal passages
- not intended for wound disinfection
- do not use in persons allergic to chlorhexidine
- do not swallow the solution
- with repeated use, temporary staining of teeth and tongue may occur (it fades after stopping)
- soaps and substances contained in toothpastes may reduce effectiveness

Composition
Active substances per 100 g of Skinsept mucosa: 1.5 g chlorhexidine digluconate 20% solution (corresponding to 0.3 g chlorhexidine digluconate), 1.4 g hydrogen peroxide 35%, 10.4 g (12.4% vol.) ethanol 96%.
Other ingredients: antimicrobial active substances, lactic acid, glyceromacrogolhydroxystearate, povidone, aroma, purified water.
